HEAD OF MODERN TRADE

My client, is seeking a Head of Modern Trade to join their team. This critical role is ideal for candidates who bring senior leadership experience and a track record in Modern Trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and execute the Modern Trade strategy to achieve customer performance and growth.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team of Key Account Managers, collaborating with field sales teams to deliver excellence in negotiation, joint planning, and customer interactions.
- Be an integral member of the Commercial Leadership team, contributing to a world-class commercial organization.
- Drive and track execution standards through a third-party sales force.
- Champion the customer agenda and develop team capabilities to create joint value with customers.
We will only consider candidates with leadership experience in a similar role and extensive Modern Trade expertise.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of commercial experience in the FMCG sector, including:
- Diverse channels and levels of customer sophistication (National Accounts, Key Accounts, Field Sales).
- Leadership of large teams in complex, multi-channeled environments.
- Strategy development, pricing, negotiations, and navigating challenging trading conditions.
- Demonstrated success in high-performance sales organizations.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with top customers.
- Relentless focus on tracking and delivering high execution standards.
- Prior experience in a Head of Modern Trade or similar senior leadership role is highly preferred.
